AI generated art is created from the unethically sourced artwork of millions of other artists, who spent ours of their life to make said artworks. Only to have people take that art, throw it at an algorithm and claim to they made new art without crediting the original artists whose images were used to make the AI art in the first place.
AI art the way it exists right now does not have a place on artstation, a site used for professional portfolios. Not for people to post images that they claim make them artists when it was a machine that made the image in the first place. Not them.
I accept that AI will one day be used as part of the design process, I am fine with that. What I am not fine with is how companies will obviously use AI to replace the artist so they do not have to spend any money on people. Jobs are at risk here.
